Chubynske is a young village with a meaningful name. In the mid-19th century the Malko, Bondariev and Yatsiutyn farmsteads stood here; until 1934 the place was called the Nansen colony, and from 1934 to 1992 Nova Oleksandrivka. In 1992 it was renamed after Pavlo Chubynskyi, and in 1999 the government included the restoration of the Chubynskyi estate in the national programme for recreating historic monuments.
