Father's Day poems
Dad, you are my rock and guide,
My best friend always by my side.
May troubles pass you on their way
And warmth be with you every day.
For hands so strong and heart so kind,
For wisdom and a curious mind,
Dear Dad, I wish you, come what may,
The happiest of Father's Day.
The June sun shines so bright,
Today is your day, Dad,
I wish you health and light
And every joy you've had.
What to give with your wishes
Men appreciate practical gifts, but attention to detail matters just as much. For ideas from gadgets to experiences, see gifts for dad. If you are unsure whether flowers are appropriate, they are; we wrote about it in flowers for a man: choose restrained colours and a simple shape.

Ready-made options are in flowers for men. A practical alternative is a fruit basket or a gift basket with his favourite treats.

June 20, 2027, the third Sunday of June.
How do I congratulate a dad who doesn't like sentiment?
Keep it short: thank him for one specific thing he taught you and add a joke. "Thanks for teaching me to change a tyre. Happy Father's Day!" says more than a long poem.
Should I congratulate my grandfather and father-in-law?
Yes. On this day people congratulate all the dads in the family, as well as friends and colleagues who have children.
Can I give my dad flowers?
Yes. A simple bouquet in dark or white tones, flowers in a box or an arrangement with fruit all work well.
