Most importantly, ask the birthday teen how they want to spend the day — at 18 it really matters.

A gift for an 18th birthday
For a coming-of-age birthday, give something memorable: flowers, balloons, experience vouchers, jewelry or gadgets. A bouquet in a box suits a girl, and balloons plus a practical gift suit a guy.
