What to write on a child's card

• May every day feel like a party and your dreams like adventures waiting to happen!
• May you always be surrounded by people who love and support you. We're with you!
• Wishing you exciting discoveries, loyal friends and lots of reasons to laugh.
• May this year bring new skills, favourite books and unforgettable holidays.
• You're our little sunshine. Happy birthday!

Keep it short and simple: a child should be able to read the card alone or understand it when read aloud.

Celebrating from afar

• A video call at a good time — arrange it in advance so the birthday person can talk without rushing.
• A voice message — a real voice feels warmer than text, especially for older relatives.
• Flower delivery — a bouquet with a card delivered in the morning makes a lovely surprise.
• A group video greeting — collect short wishes from mutual friends and edit them into one video.

You're a hero, brave and bold,
With adventures yet untold!
May your birthday be such fun
From the morning till it's done.

The best birthday of the year!
Grow up strong like Dad and true,
Kind like Mom in all you do.
