Chemist Day in Ukraine is celebrated every year on the last Sunday of May. It was established by a presidential decree in 1994. It is the professional holiday of chemical engineers and researchers, lab technicians, engineers at chemical and pharmaceutical plants, chemistry lecturers and teachers, and students who chose this challenging yet fascinating science. Without chemistry there would be no medicines, fertilisers, fuel, plastics or even everyday toothpaste. Below you will find short Chemist Day wishes, messages for colleagues, teachers and students, poems and gift ideas.

More for scientists: Science Day wishes, Pharmacist Day wishes, Metallurgist Day wishes.

Flasks and test tubes, beakers bright,
Your world is complex, full of zest.

With joy that's pure and through and through
And happiness all through the year!

A chemist will love themed gifts: a periodic table mug, a molecule-building kit or board game, a book on the history of science, good lab goggles or a conference voucher. Flowers make the greeting festive: a bright multicoloured bouquet recalls colourful reactions in flasks, while classic red roses suit a colleague or teacher.
