Geologist Day in Ukraine is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of April. It was established by a presidential decree in 1995. The date marks the start of the field season, when geologists set out on expeditions. It is the professional holiday of exploration geologists, hydrogeologists, geophysicists, drillers, surveyors, researchers and geology students: everyone who searches for and studies what lies beneath the earth. Below you will find short Geologist Day wishes, messages for colleagues, a dad or husband, poems and gift ideas. Other professional dates for the year are in our calendar of professional holidays in Ukraine.
Every stage is the work of people honoured on the first Sunday of April

How to celebrate with the team
Thanks and certificates — recognise everyone's contribution, even with a few words at a team meeting.
Morning flowers for the office — a bouquet for the team or small arrangements on each desk set a festive mood.
A team photo — take a group picture to hang in the office or post on the website.
A wishes board — everyone leaves a few kind words for colleagues on sticky notes.
An informal get-together — lunch, a picnic or a board-game evening after work.
Toasts for the team celebration
Colleagues, here's to our profession! May our work bring not only a salary but also pride in what we do.
A toast to a team that isn't afraid of deadlines, inspections or Mondays. Cheers!
To the experience of those who've been here for years and the energy of those who've just joined. Together we're strong!
Here's to celebrating next year's professional holiday with new achievements and the same wonderful team!

Happy Geologist Day to you! May rich finds come shining through, May the earth its treasures share And loved ones wait with open care!
Gift ideas for a geologist
A geologist will appreciate expedition gear: a quality compass, a head torch, a thermos, a multitool, a rock hammer or a hand lens. A beautiful mineral or geode for their collection is a great choice. Flowers add a festive touch: a soft lavender bouquet suits a female colleague, and a light gypsophila bouquet recalls crystals.
Spring is when the field season starts and geologists set out on expeditions.
What should I give a geologist?
A compass, a torch, a multitool, a mineral for their collection or a bouquet.
