Liudmyla’s (Ludmila’s) name day under the new church calendar of the OCU and UGCC is celebrated on 16 September; under the old style it is 29 September. The day honours the holy martyr Ludmila of Bohemia — a Czech princess and grandmother of Saint Wenceslas. The next day, 17 September, is the feast of Faith, Hope, Love and Sophia, so mid-September is rich in women’s name days. Below are short name day wishes for Liudmyla, wishes in your own words, messages for a friend, mom, grandma or colleague, and poems.
