Happy Peter and Paul Day to you!
Health and joy in all you do,
May the apostles from above
Guard you always with their love!
Petro, be strong just like a stone,
Pavlo, be wise in all you do.
May you never feel alone
And may your dreams come true!
About the feast
The apostle Peter was a fisherman whom Christ called among his first disciples and named the “rock” of the Church. Paul first persecuted Christians but after his conversion became the “apostle to the nations” and wrote many of the New Testament epistles. Both died as martyrs in Rome. In Ukraine, the feast of Peter and Paul ends the Apostles’ Fast and is linked with many folk customs.
