Unity Day poems

East and West stand side by side,
One land, one family, one heart,
May peace above us all abide
And nothing tear our land apart!

Hand in hand, like sisters, brothers,
We stand as one from shore to shore,
May peace and kindness bless each other
And light up every home and door!

How Unity Day is celebrated

• People form “human chains” — a symbol of unity, as in 1990.
• National flags are raised and ceremonies are held.
• People call relatives in other regions and abroad.
• People support defenders and internally displaced persons.

Another celebration of Ukrainian symbols is Vyshyvanka Day.
