Holy (Maundy) Thursday — known in Ukraine as “Clean Thursday” — is the day of Holy Week when the Last Supper is remembered. Folk tradition has long linked it with cleansing: people tidy their homes, wash before sunrise, bake paska and dye eggs. The date changes every year with Easter: in 2027, Clean Thursday is April 29 and Easter is May 2. Here you will find short Clean Thursday wishes, messages for family and friends, poems and traditions. “Happy Clean Thursday” is searched 4.8K times a month in Ukraine. Wishes for other holidays of the year are in our holiday wishes calendar.

Wishes for the feast itself are in our Easter wishes, and the week before it opens with Palm Sunday.
