When is Easter in 2027
The Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church celebrate Easter on May 2, 2027. Roman Catholics and Protestants celebrate it earlier, on March 28. Unlike Christmas, the date of Easter changes every year because it is calculated by the lunar calendar.
The traditional Easter greeting
The main greeting is "Khrystos voskres!" (Christ is risen!), and the reply is "Voistynu voskres!" (He is risen indeed!). People greet each other this way for forty days, from Easter to the Ascension. You can add a short wish: "Christ is risen! Peace, health and joy to your family."
