Constitution Day of Ukraine is celebrated every year on 28 June. On that day in 1996 the Verkhovna Rada, after an all-night session remembered as the "constitutional night", adopted the Basic Law of the independent state. In 2026 the Constitution turned 30. Below are short and formal wishes, words for colleagues and family, poems and ideas for blue-and-yellow flowers. Wishes for other holidays of the year are in our holiday wishes calendar.
From the "constitutional night" to the 30th anniversary
Short Constitution Day wishes
Happy Constitution Day of Ukraine! May our rights be protected and our country free and peaceful.
Happy Constitution Day! I wish us all to live in a state where the law works for people.
Happy Basic Law Day! Peace, justice and victory to each of us.
30 years of the Constitution means 30 years of choosing freedom. Happy holiday!
Wishes for colleagues
Colleagues, happy Constitution Day! May our work always rest on honesty and law, and may its results benefit people.
I wish you confidence in your rights, respect for those of others and a calm weekend with your family.
May each of us do our part for a strong state. Happy holiday, team!
Wishes for family and friends
My dear family, happy holiday! May our home always be peaceful and our country just.
My friend, happy Constitution Day! I wish you the freedom to think, speak and dream, as our Basic Law guarantees.
May our children grow up in a free Ukraine where every right is a reality, not just words on paper.
Formal wishes
Dear compatriots! We sincerely congratulate you on Constitution Day of Ukraine. The Basic Law enshrined our choice to be an independent, democratic state governed by the rule of law. Today we defend that choice together.
We wish everyone good health, faith in victory, peace and prosperity. May every article of the Constitution work for the good of the people.
Wishes for defenders
Thank you for defending not only our borders but our right to live by our own Constitution. Come home alive and victorious!
Happy holiday, our defenders! Thanks to you, the Basic Law of Ukraine stands on our land.
What to write on a holiday card
Happy holiday! May your home always be filled with warmth, peace and joy.
Best wishes! Bright thoughts, good health and people around you worth celebrating with.
May this day bring calm and every day after it a reason to smile.
With warmth and best wishes to you and your family on this holiday!
A small bouquet goes well with a card: flowers turn even a few lines into a special gift.
Greeting loved ones from afar
A video call — agree on a good time so the whole family can talk without rushing.
A voice message — a real voice feels warmer than text, especially for grandparents.
Flower delivery — a bouquet with a card delivered on the holiday morning makes a lovely surprise.
A family video — collect short wishes from all your relatives and send them as one clip.
Poems for Constitution Day
A June night, and no one slept, The hall debated until dawn, And with the morning, promise kept, Our Basic Law at last was born.
May every home have peace and light, May truth and freedom never fade, May we stand strong for what is right And honour those who've kept us safe.
Flowers for Constitution Day
Flowers in the colours of the flag capture the spirit of the day best: yellow roses, sunflowers, blue hydrangeas or irises. A large bouquet of yellow roses suits official events or a gift for a manager, while a small blue-and-yellow arrangement is perfect for family or colleagues.
Freedom and the rule of law unite us with Europe; see Europe Day wishes.
