Ukraine's Diplomatic Service Day is celebrated every year on 22 December. It was established by a presidential decree in 2005. It is the professional holiday of ambassadors and consuls, counsellors, embassy secretaries, attachés, interpreters and everyone who represents Ukraine abroad. Today diplomats work on the front line of international support: building alliances, helping Ukrainians abroad and telling the world the truth about Ukraine. Below you will find short Diplomat Day wishes, formal messages, wishes for colleagues and family, poems and gift ideas.

Proud and strong the whole world through!

Gift ideas for a diplomat

Understated, high-quality gifts suit a diplomat: a fine pen, a leather organiser, cufflinks, a book on diplomatic history or handmade Ukrainian ceramics to give to foreign colleagues. For flowers, choose a classic large rose bouquet: white roses stand for sincerity, while coral ones add a festive mood.
