Hydrometeorological Service Workers' Day in Ukraine is celebrated every year on 19 November. It was established by a presidential decree in 2003. It is the professional holiday of weather forecasters, meteorologists, hydrologists, agrometeorologists, weather station observers and scientists who study the atmosphere, rivers and seas. Aviation, shipping, farming, energy and even our everyday plans depend on the accuracy of their forecasts.
