Ukrainian Land Forces Day is celebrated every year on 12 December. The holiday was established by a presidential decree in 1997. The Land Forces are the largest branch of the Armed Forces: mechanised and tank brigades, artillery, army air defence, engineers, signallers and logistics. They hold most of the front line. Below are short and formal Land Forces Day wishes, words from family and comrades, thanks to the infantry, poems and ways to support the soldiers.

Land Forces Day poems

You hold our land just like a shield
Through winter snow and foggy days;
May fortune guard you in the field
And bring you home by safest ways.

For every metre of our land,
For every dawn that brings no pain,
We thank you all, our steadfast band,
And wait to see you home again!

How to support the soldiers

The best support is a donation to a specific brigade, warm clothes, generators, tourniquets and drones. Soldiers' families value attention: a call, help around the house, flowers for no reason. For veterans and those on leave, a bright bouquet says they were awaited.
