World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on 27 September. The date marks the adoption of the statutes of the World Tourism Organization on 27 September 1970, and the day itself was first observed in 1980. In Ukraine it honours travel agents, hotel staff, guides, hiking organisers and everyone who opens up new places for people. Below are Tourism Day wishes for colleagues, guides, travellers and friends, plus poems and flower ideas.

More on travel and leisure: have a great weekend wishes, new car wishes, first day of autumn wishes.

Tourism Day poems

A backpack on, the road ahead,
The wind sings softly in the pines,
May every step be joy instead,
Through mountains, seas and valley lines.

May new cities open their gates,
May stars show you the way,
May every road and every place
Bring happiness each day.

Flowers for Tourism Day

Bright exotic bouquets suit a travel agency colleague, reminding them of faraway countries and warm seas. A bouquet in aquamarine or blue shades symbolises the sea and travel. A guide can receive a small box arrangement after a great tour.
