Ukraine's Day of Architecture is celebrated every year on 1 July. It was established by a presidential decree in 1995 and at the time coincided with World Architecture Day. The International Union of Architects later moved its day to the first Monday of October, but Ukraine kept 1 July. On this day we greet architects, urban planners, restorers, interior designers and architecture lecturers. Below are short and formal Architects' Day wishes, messages for colleagues and loved ones, funny lines, poems and gift ideas. Other professional dates for the year are in our calendar of professional holidays in Ukraine.
Happy Architects' Day! Bold ideas, generous clients and projects that cities will be proud of.
Congratulations on your professional holiday! May every drawing be built without compromise.
Happy Architects' Day! Inspiration, harmony and a solid foundation in everything.
May your buildings stand for centuries and your ideas stay ahead of their time. Happy holiday!
For colleagues
Colleagues, happy holiday! Thank you for discussions till midnight, precise calculations and taste we can trust. May our projects win competitions and our deadlines stay realistic.
Wishing our studio exciting commissions, new technologies and approvals on the first try!
For a partner or friend who is an architect
My architect, thanks to your talent even our flat has become a work of art. Happy holiday, love you!
My friend, may each of your ideas come to life and your work bring both fame and a good fee.
Formal wishes
Dear architects, please accept our sincere congratulations on the Day of Architecture of Ukraine. Your work shapes our cities, preserves our heritage and makes spaces comfortable for people. Today it matters more than ever for rebuilding the country.
We wish you good health, creative achievements, completed projects and peace.
Funny wishes for an architect
May your clients only ever say "make it beautiful but cheap" as a joke!
May life go according to plan, and may every plan have a safety margin. Happy Architects' Day!
How to celebrate with the team
Thanks and certificates — recognise everyone's contribution, even with a few words at a team meeting.
Morning flowers for the office — a bouquet for the team or small arrangements on each desk set a festive mood.
A team photo — take a group picture to hang in the office or post on the website.
A wishes board — everyone leaves a few kind words for colleagues on sticky notes.
An informal get-together — lunch, a picnic or a board-game evening after work.
Toasts for the team celebration
Colleagues, here's to our profession! May our work bring not only a salary but also pride in what we do.
A toast to a team that isn't afraid of deadlines, inspections or Mondays. Cheers!
To the experience of those who've been here for years and the energy of those who've just joined. Together we're strong!
Here's to celebrating next year's professional holiday with new achievements and the same wonderful team!
What to write on a card with flowers
Happy birthday! May this bouquet remind you how many people love you.
For the best moments of the year — flowers, sincere words and hugs.
May every day be as bright as this bouquet.
Happy birthday! Wishing you health, peace and joy in the little things.
Sign the card by hand: even two lines in your handwriting mean more than a long printed message.
Architects' Day poems
You build whole cities first on paper, Then raise them up in stone and glass; May every plan become a landmark And every dream come true at last!
May every line you draw lead on To joy and harmony and grace; May all your projects carry on To make the world a better place!
Gift ideas for an architect
Architects value aesthetics and simplicity, so choose gifts with character: an architecture book, quality sketchbooks and fineliners, a desk lamp. For flowers, go for boxed arrangements with clean geometry or a classic rose bouquet that looks stylish in any interior.
World Architecture Day is now marked on the first Monday of October, while Ukraine's is on 1 July.
Another creative holiday: Artist Day on the second Sunday of October.
