Birthday
HydrangeasUkraine's Artist Day is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of October. It was established by a presidential decree in 1998, supporting an initiative of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, to honour the role of artists in developing fine art and reviving national traditions. On this day we greet painters, graphic artists, sculptors, illustrators and decorative artists, including masters of Petrykivka painting, listed by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. Below are short Artist Day wishes, messages for artists and teachers, words from admirers, poems and gift ideas.
More for people in the arts: Culture Workers Day wishes, Photography Day wishes, Architects Day wishes.

Artist Day poems
You see the world in a thousand hues
Where others see just shades of grey;
May inspiration be your muse
And colour brighten every day!
May every brushstroke glide with ease,
May colours glow like autumn trees;
May praise and joy come as you please
And fill your heart like a warm breeze!
Gift ideas for an artist
Artists appreciate creative gifts: quality paints, brushes, a field easel, a sketchbook, an album by a favourite master or exhibition tickets. Flowers inspire too: a bouquet in lively watercolour shades can become the subject of a new painting, and autumn arrangements suit this October holiday.
