Each zodiac sign is traditionally linked to certain flowers, and there are also "birth month flowers" from European tradition. We've brought both systems together: a table of flowers for all 12 signs, flowers by month, and tips for turning a horoscope into a genuinely successful gift.
Astrology has no scientific basis, and "sign — flower" pairings vary between sources. Treat the horoscope as a game and a source of ideas; the recipient's taste should always come first.
Flowers for every zodiac sign
These pairings are based on the character astrology assigns to each sign and its element. Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) get bright, "sunny" flowers; earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) classic, solid choices; air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) light and unusual blooms; water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) either delicate flowers or deep, rich shades.

- May — lily of the valley, hawthorn.
- June — rose, honeysuckle.
- July — larkspur, water lily.
- August — gladiolus, poppy.
- September — aster, morning glory.
- October — marigold, cosmos.
- November — chrysanthemum.
- December — narcissus, holly.
For example, someone born in August would love gladioli, while November birthdays call for chrysanthemums.
What about horoscopes by ten-day period or by name?
Online you can find "flower horoscopes" that assign a flower to every ten-day period of the year (for example, "born in early April — magnolia"), as well as flowers by first name. These are modern entertainment systems with no single source: different publications give different plants for the same date. They can make a fun line on a card, but not a rule.
How to choose a horoscope bouquet without getting it wrong
- Taste comes first. If you know your Taurus friend dislikes peonies, no horoscope will make them a good gift.
- Use the horoscope for colour ideas. It's easier to pick a palette (bright, pastel, deep) than a specific flower.
- Think about the season. Peonies for Taurus in May are perfect; in January, swap them for peony-style roses.
- Add a card. A line like "Your horoscope says you deserve sunflowers" makes the bouquet personal and playful.
- Ask the florist. They'll tell you which flowers on the list are freshest right now.
